Trump Claims Secret US Hormuz Operations

US President Donald Trump has claimed that American forces carried out covert operations near the Strait of Hormuz, targeting Iranian radar infrastructure in a move he said helped protect commercial shipping in the strategic waterway.

Trump Strait Of Hormuz Claim

Trump said the United States had conducted operations that were not publicly known, adding that American forces had repeatedly targeted Iranian radar systems near the Strait of Hormuz.

According to his remarks, the radar strikes were aimed at reducing Iran’s ability to track movement in the area. He claimed the action forced Tehran to rebuild damaged radar infrastructure more than once.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most important maritime routes, with a major share of global oil shipments passing through the narrow waterway.

US Iran Tensions In Gulf

The statement comes amid continued tensions between Washington and Tehran over maritime security, oil movement and military activity in the Gulf region.

Trump also referred to earlier US efforts to help commercial ships and oil tankers move through the Strait of Hormuz. He claimed these operations had helped keep oil supplies moving despite regional instability.

However, the full scale and operational details of the claimed activity have not been independently confirmed by US military officials in the same level of detail.

Iran Radar Infrastructure Targeted

The remarks add to growing concerns over military escalation around the Strait of Hormuz, where any disruption can affect global energy prices and shipping routes.

The US has repeatedly described freedom of navigation in the Gulf as a strategic priority. Iran, meanwhile, has often warned against foreign military presence near its coastline.

Trump’s comments are likely to draw fresh attention to covert military activity in the region and its impact on US-Iran relations.
