Ministers and officers have been asked to use the Metro on Mondays as part of the fuel conservation push. The Delhi government will also avoid purchasing new official vehicles for six months. Petrol limits for officers have been reduced by 20%, lowering the monthly cap from 200 litres. Rekha Gupta Announces Austerity Measures Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the measures are part of the “Mera Bharat, Mera Yogdan” initiative to support fuel conservation and responsible public spending. The government has also announced restrictions on foreign travel by ministers and officials for one year.
