Officials are also tracking weather conditions, river levels and road accessibility across the state. Landslide and Flash Flood Risk Continuous rainfall can destabilise slopes and block national highways, state roads and rural routes. Authorities have asked road-clearing teams and heavy machinery operators to remain prepared for the rapid removal of debris. Residents have been advised to avoid swollen rivers, streams, waterfalls and landslide-prone slopes. People living in low-lying or vulnerable areas should follow evacuation instructions if issued by local officials and avoid unnecessary travel during periods of intense rain. Char Dham Pilgrims Advised Caution Pilgrims travelling towards Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri have been asked to check official weather and traffic advisories before beginning their journeys. Movement may be regulated or temporarily stopped if pilgrimage routes become unsafe. The State Disaster Response Force, police and district emergency teams remain prepared for possible rain-related incidents.
