The government maintained that Tamil Nadu was not opposed to transparency or academic standards but wanted an admission system that better protects social justice and provides opportunities for rural and economically disadvantaged students. The resolution formally places the Tamil Nadu Assembly’s demand for scrapping NEET before the Union government.
