She is visiting North Macedonia from July 21 to 22 at the invitation of President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova. The event will focus on increasing commercial exchanges and encouraging companies to explore investment opportunities. Bilateral trade remains modest, leaving considerable scope for expansion in information technology, healthcare, food processing, manufacturing and infrastructure. North Macedonia is the second destination on Murmu’s three-nation European tour. She earlier became the first Indian president to visit Moldova and will travel to Romania from July 23 to 25. Her Romanian visit will be the first by an Indian president in more than three decades.
