Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said India and Qatar stand in solidarity after Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani conveyed condolences over the death of Indian nationals in the Ras Laffan explosion. Ras Laffan Explosion Kills Indian Nationals The incident at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Qatar killed 13 people, including 12 Indian nationals, and injured several others. Ras Laffan is one of Qatar’s most important industrial and energy hubs, housing major gas and LNG infrastructure. Indian authorities have said they are closely coordinating with Qatari officials to support the injured and assist the families of those who died. The Indian mission in Doha is also working on procedures related to the repatriation of mortal remains. Modi thanked him for the call and said both countries shared the grief of the families affected by the tragedy. The Prime Minister also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.
