Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said Moscow will fulfil all energy supply agreements with India, assuring that New Delhi’s interests will not suffer despite external pressure and rising competition in global energy markets. Lavrov also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and said both sides continue to maintain close cooperation across energy, defence, technology and diplomatic platforms. Kudankulam Nuclear Project In Focus Lavrov referred to the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant as a flagship project of India-Russia cooperation. The plant remains one of the most important symbols of civil nuclear collaboration between the two countries. The assurance is significant as India seeks stable energy sources while balancing relations with major global powers. Russia’s statement indicates that Moscow wants to retain its role as a dependable long-term supplier for India despite geopolitical challenges.
