Seafarer Safety And Secure Sea Routes In his address, Modi also raised concern over the safety of seafarers and the security of global sea routes. He said disruptions to maritime trade have affected the global economy and stressed that seafarers must be able to perform their duties without fear. The Prime Minister said protecting sea routes is a collective responsibility, especially at a time when instability in West Asia has caused loss of life and economic disruption.
