India's foreign exchange reserves recorded a decline of $1.781 billion, bringing the total to $638.698 billion for the week ending February 28, according to the latest data from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The drop was primarily attributed to reductions in foreign currency assets and gold reserves, which form key components of the country's total forex holdings. Foreign Currency and Gold Reserves See Decline A significant portion of the decline was due to a decrease in foreign currency assets (FCA), which fell by $493 million to $543.35 billion. These assets include India’s holdings in major international currencies such as the U.S. dollar, euro, and yen.
