PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss has criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin over the defeat of the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, saying the DMK’s stand had worked against women’s political representation. His remarks came amid the growing political battle over the failed bill, which was linked to introducing 33% reservation for women in Parliament and State Assemblies from the 2029 elections.
