Simple Ultra Launched With 400 km Range

Simple Energy has launched the Simple Ultra electric scooter, claiming an IDC-certified range of 400 km on a single charge. The Bengaluru-based company says the new model is now available for purchase and test rides, with deliveries already underway across India.

Simple Ultra Electric Scooter Range and Battery

The Simple Ultra is positioned as the company’s longest-range electric scooter so far. It comes with a 6.5 kWh battery pack, which powers the claimed 400 km IDC range. That figure makes it one of the most attention-grabbing electric scooter launches in India’s premium EV segment, where range remains a major selling point for buyers.

Simple Ultra Price and Performance Details

The scooter has been priced at Rs 2.35 lakh, ex-showroom. In terms of performance, Simple Energy says the Ultra can reach a top speed of 115 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 40 kmph in 2.77 seconds. The company has also positioned it as the second-fastest electric scooter in its line-up.

Simple Ultra Features and Traction Control

The Simple Ultra comes with a seven-inch digital display for ride information and vehicle controls. It also gets four levels of traction control, adding to its feature list. The launch follows the earlier introduction of the Gen 2 versions of the Simple One and Simple OneS, making the Ultra part of the brand’s broader product expansion.

Simple Energy Retail Expansion in India

Alongside the launch, Simple Energy said it is continuing to expand its retail network. The company currently has close to 70 touchpoints across cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi. It also plans to enter more locations such as Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar in the coming months.
