Revanth Reddy directed ministers, MLAs, MPs and constituency in-charges to remain alert during the Special Intensive Revision process, which begins across Telangana on Thursday.

He said the party would not tolerate negligence in an exercise linked directly to voting rights.

The Chief Minister asked Congress sarpanches and local leaders to conduct awareness campaigns in villages and explain the importance of voter verification to citizens.
Revanth Reddy said the party had received district-wise reports on participation in SIR awareness meetings. He cautioned leaders that any lapse could result in genuine voters, especially poor people and weaker sections, losing their names from electoral rolls.
Congress Leaders Face Action Over Negligence
Revanth Reddy warned party functionaries to improve their performance within the next 10 days or face action. He said the party was monitoring MLAs and could appoint new constituency in-charges where elected representatives failed to work effectively.
He also said in-charge ministers would not be spared if they failed to follow party instructions or acted against party interests. The Chief Minister stressed that protecting every eligible vote must remain the party’s priority, adding that loss of voting rights could affect access to welfare schemes and official documentation.
