Putin Calls on Russians to Join ‘Common Victory’
Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on citizens across professions and social groups to contribute to what he described as Russia’s “common victory”, linking public participation to the country’s development, sovereignty and future amid the continuing war in Ukraine.

Speaking at the “Strong Ideas for a New Era” forum in Nizhny Novgorod, Putin said the contribution of every citizen was important for Russia’s success and long-term development.
He specifically mentioned volunteers, employees of non-governmental and social organisations, managers, engineers, workers and entrepreneurs as groups that should participate in the broader national effort.
Putin said Russia was fighting for its present and future while seeking to strengthen national sovereignty and create conditions for future generations.
Putin Pushes Greater Use of Russian Technology
The Russian president also called for wider adoption of domestically produced goods and technologies throughout the country.
He said promising Russian products and technological solutions should be deployed nationally, from Kaliningrad in the west to Vladivostok in the Far East.
The remarks reflect Moscow’s continuing emphasis on technological self-reliance as Western sanctions and restrictions reshape Russia’s economy and access to foreign technology.
Russian War Veterans to Enter Economy and Government
Putin separately called for greater efforts to integrate veterans returning from the war in Ukraine into civilian life.
He said the state and society had a responsibility to ensure veterans could continue serving the country through roles in the economy, government administration and social sectors.
Putin also highlighted the need to use military experience gained during the conflict in developing both defence and civilian technologies, while creating employment and professional opportunities for returning soldiers.
