Puducherry Exit Poll 2026: SPA Leads, NDA Close Behind As TVK-NMK Keep Contest Tight

BPN and Statscope India’s Puducherry Exit Poll suggests that the Secular Progressive Alliance has a slight edge in the Union Territory, but the contest remains close enough to keep the NDA firmly in the race. The projection indicates a competitive election rather than a one-sided mandate, with smaller players like TVK and NMK adding a layer of uncertainty in a few constituencies.

The broad picture from the exit poll is that the SPA is ahead in the race for the largest bloc, but not by a margin that would allow complete comfort. The NDA remains within striking distance and could still benefit if a few close seats tilt in its favour. In a small Assembly like Puducherry, even a minor shift in two or three seats can change the final outcome dramatically, which is why this election remains one to watch closely.

The presence of TVK and NMK appears to have made the contest more fragmented in certain pockets. That has reduced the possibility of a clean sweep for either of the two larger alliances and has instead pushed the election towards a more competitive finish. The result is a seat picture in which the leading alliance is ahead, but the final outcome may still depend on narrow constituency-level margins.

At this stage, the exit poll points towards SPA finishing ahead of NDA overall, while Others continue to hold a limited but potentially important presence. If the trend holds on counting day, Puducherry may see a tightly balanced verdict rather than a decisive wave.
