PM Modi Warns of Internal and External Threats to India’s Stability

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the Statue of Unity in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, raised concerns about attempts by both internal and external forces to destabilize India and disrupt its harmony.

Addressing a gathering on National Unity Day, he warned that these elements aim to tarnish the nation’s image on the global stage.

Tribute to Sardar Patel’s Legacy

During the event, PM Modi paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister, whose legacy of national integration is celebrated on October 31. Modi emphasized Patel’s critical role in unifying India, remarking that while some doubted the possibility of national unity, Patel’s vision made it achievable.

“Some forces in and outside India are trying to destabilise the country and spread anarchy to create a negative image of the nation in the world. They are trying to divide the country on caste lines and are against a developed India,” said the PM.

“As Naxalism is ending in jungles, a new model of urban Naxals is raising its head. Today urban Naxals target even those who say that you will remain safe if you remain united. We have to identify urban Naxals and unmask them,” he said,

150th Anniversary Celebrations for Sardar Patel

In line with Patel’s enduring legacy, Modi announced a two-year celebration marking the 150th birth anniversary of the leader. The Prime Minister’s address reaffirmed his government’s dedication to preserving unity and strength across the nation amidst rising challenges both within and beyond India’s borders.

“Our nation is moving towards implementation of ‘one nation, one secular civil code’ which will strengthen our country. We are trying to roll out the ‘one nation, one election’ initiative, which will strengthen our democracy,” he said.

“For the first time in 70 years, the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir has taken oath on the Constitution,” he said.
