Prime Minister Narendra Modi held meetings with leading French business executives in Paris, focusing on investment opportunities, expansion plans and deeper industrial cooperation with India. Modi met senior executives from major French companies as part of efforts to strengthen India-France economic ties. The meetings came during his visit to France, where he also engaged with global leaders and business representatives.
The discussions focused on India’s growing market, its manufacturing potential and opportunities for French companies to expand operations in the country. The Prime Minister highlighted India’s reform-driven business environment and the scope for long-term partnerships.
India-France Investment Talks
Among the key meetings was Modi’s interaction with Saint-Gobain Chairman and CEO Benoit Bazin. The discussion focused on materials, construction and sustainability, with emphasis on the company’s existing presence and future investment plans in India.
Modi also met Alstom CEO Martin Sion to discuss mobility and railway modernisation. The talks highlighted Alstom’s manufacturing presence in India and its role in supporting jobs, technology transfer and growth in the rail sector.
AI And Logistics Cooperation
The Prime Minister also held discussions with Mistral AI co-founder and CEO Arthur Mensch on India’s expanding artificial intelligence ecosystem. Mistral AI expressed interest in working with Indian companies to support innovation and build AI capabilities.
Modi also discussed shipping, logistics, shipbuilding, ship recycling, deep-sea ports and container manufacturing with CMA CGM Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saade. The meetings underlined India’s push to attract high-value investments and strengthen its role in global supply chains.
