Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Back US-Iran Talks

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have backed continued dialogue between the United States and Iran, stressing that diplomacy must remain the central path in efforts to stabilise the region and protect the peace process from disruption.

Pakistan Saudi Arabia Support US Iran Dialogue

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Friday, with both leaders discussing the next phase of diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran.

Sharif said the two sides agreed that negotiations must continue through dialogue and diplomacy. The discussion came after recent developments in the US-Iran peace process, which has been closely watched across West Asia amid concerns over wider regional instability.

US Iran Peace Process Needs Vigilance

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia also warned against attempts to undermine the peace process. Both countries stressed the need for vigilance as negotiations move into the next phase.

The call reflected growing regional concern that any renewed escalation could weaken diplomatic gains and affect efforts to bring stability to conflict-hit areas, including Lebanon and the wider Gulf region. The leaders underlined that sustained engagement would be necessary to prevent the process from being derailed.

Pakistan Saudi Arabia Relations Strengthened

Sharif also thanked the Saudi Crown Prince for Saudi Arabia’s support for Pakistan’s peace efforts. He described Pakistan-Saudi relations as strong and expressed satisfaction over the state of bilateral ties.

Both sides also discussed strengthening economic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The conversation highlighted the close coordination between Islamabad and Riyadh on regional peace, diplomacy and long-term stability.

The latest exchange comes as countries in the region continue to respond to the evolving US-Iran dialogue and its possible impact on security, energy movement and wider diplomatic alignments.
