Nitish Reddy Ruled Out Of Ireland T20Is

Nitish Kumar Reddy will miss India’s two T20Is against Ireland after his quadriceps issue resurfaced. The injury had earlier kept him out of the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow.

The all-rounder is expected to undergo further assessment before returning to competitive cricket. There is no confirmed recovery timeline yet, and his availability for India’s following white-ball assignments remains uncertain.

India Ireland T20I Series Begins In Belfast

India are scheduled to play two T20Is against Ireland at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast. The first match will be played on June 26, followed by the second T20I on June 28.

Reddy’s absence reduces India’s seam-bowling all-rounder options for the short series. The team management had been looking at him as part of its wider white-ball planning, especially with India exploring backup options in the pace-bowling all-rounder role.

India Squad Faces Injury Concern

The injury comes at a difficult time for Reddy, who has been trying to build a stronger case in India’s limited-overs setup. He has had limited opportunities in white-ball internationals despite being viewed as a promising all-round option.

India are yet to confirm whether a replacement will be named for the Ireland series. The selectors and medical team are expected to monitor his progress before deciding on his return to the squad.
