Nida Khan Arrested In TCS Nashik Case
Suspended TCS employee Nida Khan has been arrested in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar after allegedly evading police for nearly 25 days in connection with the Nashik workplace harassment and alleged religious conversion case. The arrest comes as the Special Investigation Team continues its probe into multiple FIRs filed by women employees.
Nida Khan Arrested After Police Search
Police arrested Khan after a statewide search linked to allegations of sexual harassment, mental abuse and attempted religious conversion at a TCS-linked BPO unit in Nashik. She had earlier sought anticipatory bail, but the plea was rejected by a Nashik court.
TCS Nashik Case Under SIT Probe
The SIT is examining digital evidence, witness statements and allegations involving several employees. Investigators have alleged that Khan helped some accused persons and discouraged complainants from filing complaints. The defence has denied the allegations and argued that Maharashtra does not have a specific anti-conversion law.
Multiple FIRs Filed In Workplace Harassment Case
Several women employees have accused some staff members and senior colleagues of molestation, obscene remarks, stalking, sexual exploitation on the promise of marriage, religious harassment and coercion. Police have registered multiple FIRs against several accused employees.
TCS Says No Formal POSH Complaint Received
TCS has said it did not receive formal complaints through its internal ethics or POSH mechanisms related to the accused individuals. The company has formed an oversight committee and brought in independent experts to conduct an internal investigation into the allegations.
