Mark Mobius Calls for Nobel Peace Prize for PM Modi

Renowned investor Mark Mobius has lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic prowess, suggesting his leadership and peace-building efforts merit the Nobel Peace Prize. Mobius emphasized PM Modi’s ability to engage across the political spectrum globally, positioning him as a potential peacemaker amid international conflicts.

“PM Modi is not only a great leader but also a great human being. His capacity to bridge divides makes him a key figure in global diplomacy,” Mobius remarked in an interview with IANS.

India’s Role in Global Mediation

Mobius highlighted India’s neutral stance in international disputes, such as the Russia-Ukraine conflict and tensions in West Asia, as a testament to its ability to mediate global peace. “India is in a strong position to act as a global mediator, and PM Modi is uniquely qualified to lead such efforts,” he said.

PM Modi’s recent visit to Ukraine underscored India’s active involvement in promoting peace, marking a historic moment in diplomatic relations.

India’s Economic Trajectory

On India’s economic future, Mobius praised initiatives like ‘Digital India’ and ‘Make in India,’ emphasizing their role in driving growth. He noted India’s youthful demographic, digitization, and expanding infrastructure as key factors propelling the country toward becoming a global economic powerhouse.

Mobius also stressed the importance of accelerating infrastructure development and reducing bureaucratic hurdles to sustain momentum. He projected a bullish outlook for India’s economy, with the Reserve Bank of India forecasting a 7.2% GDP growth rate for FY 2024-25.

“India’s rising consumer market and urbanization are driving its growth story. The path to becoming the world’s largest economy is clear,” Mobius concluded, reiterating his confidence in India’s economic and diplomatic future.
