The violence began when the attacker opened fire on civilians in the street, leaving multiple people dead and several others injured. The situation escalated when he entered a supermarket and held people hostage inside. Ukrainian officials later confirmed that six people had died in the attack, while more than a dozen others were wounded.
Gunman Killed After Supermarket Hostage Crisis
Special police units were deployed to the scene after the gunman barricaded himself inside the supermarket. Negotiations reportedly continued for some time, but the standoff ended when officers stormed the building and shot the suspect dead.
