Kejriwal Targets PM Modi Over CUET Glitch

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal revived his “educated PM” remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi after a technical glitch disrupted the CUET-UG 2026 examination across several centres on Saturday.

CUET Glitch Disrupts Exam Schedule

The National Testing Agency said the disruption was caused by a technical issue at its technology partner, Tata Consultancy Services. The morning session was delayed by up to two hours at centres in several states.

Following the delay, the NTA revised the afternoon shift timing. The reporting time was moved to 2:30 pm, while the exam was rescheduled to begin at 4 pm. The agency expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to students and parents.

Kejriwal Revives Educated PM Remark

Kejriwal targeted the Prime Minister while reacting to a post by AAP leader Atishi, who highlighted the difficulties faced by students at an examination centre in Varanasi.

In his post, Kejriwal said the country “needs an educated PM.” His remark revived an earlier political attack by the AAP against Modi and came amid growing Opposition criticism over repeated examination-related controversies.

Opposition Attacks Centre Over Exams

The CUET disruption added to the political row over the handling of national entrance examinations. Opposition leaders have accused the Centre and the NTA of failing to ensure fair and smooth conduct of major exams.

The NTA has said candidates who completed biometric registration and were present at affected centres but could not complete the test due to the glitch will get another opportunity.
