The protests have continued since July 25, with job aspirants demanding major reforms in the functioning of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.
Students have alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations and are seeking cancellation of several recruitment processes they consider compromised.
The agitation has placed increasing pressure on the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government to address concerns over transparency and fairness in government recruitment.
Police Action Intensifies Jharkhand Protests
The confrontation escalated when protesters attempted to march towards the Jharkhand Assembly. Police used water cannons, tear gas and lathis after demonstrators breached barricades.

With Kejriwal and other national political leaders now publicly backing the protesters, the recruitment examination dispute has developed into a significant political challenge for the Jharkhand government.
