Jharkhand JPSC Protest Continues After Talks
Student protests over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand government recruitment examinations have entered a third week, with aspirants continuing their agitation in Ranchi after the first formal talks with the state government failed to produce a concrete resolution.

A delegation representing protesting JPSC and JSSC aspirants met Jharkhand ministers in Ranchi on Friday evening for discussions over their demands.
The government said the issues raised by the students would be examined and discussed with Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Protest representatives described the talks as positive but said no specific assurance had been given on accepting their demands.
Aspirants have maintained that the agitation will continue until concrete action is taken.
Students Demand JPSC Exam Cancellation
One of the principal demands is cancellation of the 14th JPSC Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination over alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
Protesters have also sought an independent investigation, including a CBI probe, into alleged irregularities involving JPSC and JSSC examinations. Other demands include greater transparency through publication of category-wise cut-offs, OMR sheets and response sheets.
Several protesters have also been participating in an indefinite hunger strike at Ranchi’s Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium.
Fresh Jharkhand Government Talks Planned
A separate delegation led by student leader Devendra Nath Mahto was scheduled to hold another round of talks with government representatives on Saturday.
The group has said its demands remain unchanged and warned that the hunger strike will continue unless the government takes concrete action.
Protesters have also warned of further mobilisation, including a possible march towards the Jharkhand Assembly, if their demands remain unresolved.
