Iran Claims Drone Attacks on US Regional Bases
Iran’s military has claimed that it launched a new wave of drone attacks against facilities used by American forces in Bahrain and Jordan as regional hostilities continue to widen.

The Iranian army said drones targeted Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, striking storage facilities, aircraft hangars and maintenance buildings allegedly used by US forces.
In Jordan, Iran claimed that drones were launched against Muwaffaq Salti Air Base near Al-Azraq. The reported targets included military equipment warehouses and accommodation facilities housing American personnel.
Iran’s account corrects initial reports that appeared to interchange some of the targets listed at the two bases. No independently verified evidence confirming the claimed damage was immediately available.
Bahrain and Jordan Assess Aerial Threats
The United States, Bahrain and Jordan did not immediately confirm whether the drones reached their intended targets or caused damage and casualties. Iran’s statements therefore remain unverified military claims.
Bahrain has activated emergency sirens during recent aerial threats and instructed residents to move to safe locations. Jordanian forces have also intercepted Iranian missiles and drones during earlier attacks targeting facilities hosting American personnel.
Regional Military Conflict Intensifies
Tehran warned that continued action against Iranian interests would further undermine regional security and economic stability. Iran has said its retaliatory attacks will continue while the United States strikes its infrastructure, military facilities and coastal positions.
US Central Command has conducted repeated attacks on Iranian command centres, drone installations, air-defence systems and surveillance facilities. Washington says its operations are intended to reduce threats against US forces and maritime traffic.
The expanding confrontation has disrupted commercial aviation and shipping while increasing security risks across the Gulf and neighbouring countries.
