IPL 2026 Final Shifted To Ahmedabad
The BCCI has announced the schedule for the TATA IPL 2026 playoffs, with Ahmedabad set to host the final on May 31 after the venue was shifted from Bengaluru due to operational and logistical reasons.
IPL 2026 Playoffs Schedule Announced
The IPL 2026 playoffs will begin on May 26 with Qualifier 1 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The match will feature the top two teams in the points table, with the winner earning a direct place in the final.
The Eliminator will be played on May 27 at the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh. It will feature the third and fourth-placed teams from the league stage.
Ahmedabad To Host IPL 2026 Final
Qualifier 2 will also be held at the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on May 29. The match will decide the second finalist, with the loser of Qualifier 1 facing the winner of the Eliminator.
The IPL 2026 final will be played on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The venue, known as the world’s largest cricket stadium, will host the season’s grand finale.
Bengaluru Final Reassigned By BCCI
Bengaluru was originally scheduled to host the IPL 2026 final. However, the BCCI said the venue was reassigned due to requirements from the local association and authorities that were beyond its established guidelines and protocols.
The playoffs will be held across three venues this season as a special case. The final phase will follow the completion of 70 league-stage matches.
