iPhone 18 Pro May Launch in September

Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026, although the company has not officially confirmed the launch date or specifications. Industry reports suggest the premium models could receive upgrades to their displays, processors, cameras and connectivity features.

iPhone 18 Pro September Launch

Apple is reportedly preparing to continue its traditional September launch schedule for the iPhone 18 Pro series. However, the company may adopt a staggered release strategy for the wider lineup.

Under the reported plan, the Pro models and a possible foldable iPhone would arrive in September 2026. The standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and next-generation iPhone Air could follow in early 2027.

Smaller Dynamic Island Expected

The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to retain the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes used by their predecessors. Reports indicate that Apple may move part of the Face ID system beneath the display, allowing it to reduce the size of the Dynamic Island.

The devices could also use more power-efficient LTPO+ display technology. Claims that Face ID will move entirely beneath the screen remain uncertain, with recent reports pointing instead to a smaller central cutout.

A20 Pro Chip and Camera Upgrades

Apple’s forthcoming A20 Pro processor is expected to be manufactured using a 2-nanometre process. The new chip could improve performance, power efficiency, thermal management and on-device artificial intelligence processing.

Camera upgrades may include a 48-megapixel main sensor with variable aperture, giving users greater control over light intake and depth of field. Apple could also introduce its C2 modem, expanded satellite connectivity and a simplified Camera Control button.

Other reported changes include new colour options, a redesigned rear Ceramic Shield section and a larger battery for the Pro Max. All specifications remain unofficial until confirmed by Apple.
