India’s Armed Forces: Operation Sindoor Was Justice for Pahalgam Victims
India’s Armed Forces have officially described Operation Sindoor as a mission aimed at delivering justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack. Addressing the media, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh stated that the operation was a direct response to decades of cross-border terrorism originating from Pakistan.
“Operation Sindoor was launched by the Indian Armed Forces to deliver justice to the victims of Pahalgam terror attack and their families. Nine terrorist camps were targeted and successfully destroyed. Over the last three decades, Pakistan has systematically built terror infrastructure. It is a complex web of recruitment and indoctrination centres, training areas for initial and refresher courses and launchpads for handlers,” Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said.
The armed forces confirmed that the strikes targeted a deeply entrenched network of terror infrastructure, built and maintained systematically over 30 years. This infrastructure included recruitment hubs, indoctrination centers, training modules, and operational launchpads used by various Pakistan-backed terror groups.
Targeted Strikes with a Clear Message
Operation Sindoor was executed in the early hours of May 7, with the Indian Air Force carrying out precision strikes on nine carefully identified sites. These included facilities linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen. The action was intended not only to dismantle physical assets but also to disrupt the entire logistics and operational backbone of the terror ecosystem in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
By neutralizing these camps, India aims to send a stern message that terror will no longer go unanswered. The operation is being seen as a calibrated yet forceful measure—one that avoids direct confrontation with the Pakistani military but strikes at the very core of the terror machinery.
A Turning Point in India’s Counter-Terror Doctrine
The Indian military’s public articulation of the goals and outcomes of Operation Sindoor marks a shift towards greater transparency and assertiveness in counter-terror operations. The statement by Wing Commander Vyomika Singh also reinforces India’s evolving doctrine—where precision and intelligence-based military action replaces symbolic diplomacy.
This operation, born out of national grief and anger following the brutal Pahalgam massacre, represents a clear shift in policy: justice for victims will no longer be delayed by diplomatic hesitation. The military’s assurance to the families of the victims indicates that national security will remain uncompromising and proactive.
