Indian Killed, 10 Injured in Riyadh Airport Attack
One Indian national has died and at least 10 others remain injured following the October 10 attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, as India strongly condemned repeated strikes on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
Indian National Dies After Riyadh Airport Attack
The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia confirmed that one of the Indian nationals injured in the attack later succumbed to his injuries.
The embassy said it was in contact with the victim’s family and would provide assistance for the repatriation of the mortal remains.
Earlier, 11 Indian nationals were reported among more than 300 people injured in the attack. Several remain under medical treatment, including some in intensive care.
India Condemns Repeated Airport Strikes
The Ministry of External Affairs condemned the repeated attacks on King Khalid International Airport and other civilian facilities, calling such strikes completely unacceptable.
India also expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia and conveyed condolences to the families of those killed while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
The October 10 strike killed at least 12 people and injured more than 300.
Embassy Coordinates With Saudi Authorities
Indian officials are in contact with Saudi authorities and hospitals treating injured nationals.
The embassy had already issued an advisory asking Indians in Saudi Arabia to remain alert, follow local safety instructions and stay indoors where necessary.
The Riyadh airport has been targeted repeatedly in recent days amid escalating conflict involving Saudi Arabia and Yemen’s Houthis.
The attacks have increased concerns over aviation safety, civilian casualties and wider regional instability.
