India Tests RudraM-II Missile Successfully

India has successfully flight-tested the indigenously developed RudraM-II air-to-surface missile from an airborne platform, marking another important step in strengthening the country’s advanced strike capability.

DRDO And IAF Test RudraM-II Missile

The Defence Research and Development Organisation and the Indian Air Force conducted the flight tests of the RudraM-II missile under extreme release conditions. The missile was tested on a critical trajectory to validate the performance of its systems and mission capability.

The missile was guided towards a predefined target and achieved pinpoint accuracy. Flight data collected through range instruments confirmed that all test objectives were successfully met.

Indigenous Air-To-Surface Missile Capability

RudraM-II is part of India’s growing portfolio of indigenous precision-guided weapon systems. The successful test highlights the maturity of key subsystems, including guidance, control and integration with airborne platforms.

The missile is expected to enhance the Indian Air Force’s ability to strike high-value enemy targets from the air while reducing dependence on imported weapon systems.

Aatmanirbhar Bharat In Defence Technology

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO, the Indian Air Force, Defence Public Sector Undertakings, development-cum-production partners and industry stakeholders for the successful test.

He said the achievement reflects the growing maturity of indigenous defence technologies and is a significant step towards self-reliance in advanced weapon systems. The test also strengthens India’s broader push for Aatmanirbhar Bharat in defence manufacturing and modernisation.
