India will face Sri Lanka while Pakistan take on Bangladesh in the men’s cricket semi-finals at the 2026 Asian Games after all four quarter-finals were washed out without a ball being bowled in Nisshin.

Persistent rain prevented any play in the four men’s quarter-finals, meaning the tournament’s pre-seeded teams advanced directly to the last four.
India will take on Sri Lanka in the second semi-final on Thursday at 2 pm local time. Pakistan and Bangladesh will meet earlier in the day at 9 am.
Both semi-finals will be played in Nisshin, which will also host the bronze-medal playoff and the gold-medal match on Saturday.
Rain Washes Out All Four Quarter-Finals
Nepal, Afghanistan, Malaysia and Hong Kong had progressed from the group stage but were eliminated after their respective quarter-finals were abandoned because of the weather.
As a result, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have reached the semi-finals without playing a single ball in the men’s tournament.
The group-stage qualifiers each ended their campaigns with one victory, one defeat and one washed-out match.
India Hold Advantage if Semi-Final Is Abandoned
Rain remains a concern for Thursday’s semi-finals, although conditions are expected to improve.
If a completed match ends in a tie, a Super Over will determine the winner. However, if weather prevents either the match or Super Over from being completed, the higher-seeded team will progress.
That means India would advance over Sri Lanka in the event of a complete washout, while Pakistan would go through against Bangladesh. If the final itself is washed out, the two finalists will share the Asian Games gold medal.
