Gujarat Hosts Mega Semiconductor Conference and IESA Vision Summit 2025

Gujarat is set to host the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference from March 5 to 7, 2025, at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar. This significant event aims to bolster the state’s position in the global semiconductor industry by attracting investments, integrating local industries into international value chains, and fostering innovation.

The conference will commence with an inauguration ceremony attended by Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. The event is expected to draw over 2,500 delegates, including industrialists, investors, and policymakers. Notable attendees include C.S. Chua, President and Managing Director of Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific, and Matt Crowley, Executive Vice President of JABIL’s Global Business Unit, both anticipated to announce new investments in Gujarat.

International participation will feature special addresses by Lee Seong-ho, Ambassador of South Korea to India, focusing on South Korea-India relations and Gujarat’s emerging semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, and Marisa Gerards, Ambassador of the Netherlands to India, highlighting Indo-Dutch technological collaborations. Senior executives from prominent companies such as Tata Electronics, Micron, Kaynes Technology, and CG Semi are also slated to speak at the event.

A key highlight of the conference is the unveiling of plans for new social infrastructure development in Dholera and initiatives for a SMART industrial estate in GIDC Sanand. Additionally, Kaynes Technology will conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, and Tata Electronics Private Limited is expected to make a significant announcement during the event.

The conference will also feature six country-specific roundtables, including discussions between India and the US, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the semiconductor sector. A parallel exhibition will showcase the semiconductor value chain, from raw materials to advanced technologies, providing attendees with a comprehensive view of the industry’s landscape.

In conjunction with the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference, the 19th edition of the IESA Vision Summit 2025 will take place at the same venue. This flagship event, organized by the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), serves as a premier platform dedicated to advancing India’s semiconductor and electronics ecosystem. The summit will bring together industry leaders, government policymakers, innovators, and experts to discuss emerging trends, cutting-edge technologies, and transformative collaborations.

Co-located with the Vision Summit is the Indian Semiconductor and Packaging Ecosystem Conference (ISPEC) 2025, scheduled from March 5 to 7. Supported by the $10 billion India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), ISPEC 2025 aims to foster a large-scale industry-academic consortium to drive innovation in next-generation semiconductors, packaging, and systems. The conference will unite researchers, industry leaders, and academia to build a robust ecosystem and establish 12 industry co-development centers, propelling India toward global leadership in the semiconductor domain.
