Four Gangsters Killed in Gurugram Encounter
Four alleged members of the Deepak Nandal gang were killed and another was injured during an exchange of fire with Gurugram police on Thursday night. Three police personnel also suffered gunshot wounds in the encounter, during which around 60 rounds were fired.

The encounter took place in Gurugram’s Sushant Lok Phase 2 area at around 9.30 pm after the Crime Branch received information about armed men travelling in a suspicious Scorpio SUV.
Multiple police teams reached the location and established a blockade. By then, the armed suspects had allegedly opened fire at the residence of a businessman who had reportedly received repeated extortion threats.
Police surrounded the suspects and asked them to surrender. However, the accused allegedly opened indiscriminate fire while attempting to escape, prompting the police personnel to retaliate.
Deepak Nandal Gang Shooters Injured
All five alleged shooters sustained bullet injuries during the exchange and were taken to a private super-speciality hospital.
Doctors declared four of them dead, while the fifth accused remains hospitalised and is undergoing treatment. Police said the suspects were associated with the Deepak Nandal gang, which is allegedly operated by a wanted gangster based abroad.
Investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the attack on the businessman’s house and its possible connection to the reported extortion threats.
Three Gurugram Police Personnel Injured
Three Gurugram police personnel suffered gunshot injuries during the operation and were admitted to hospital. Their medical condition is being closely monitored.
Teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory and Scene of Crime unit examined the encounter site and collected forensic and technical evidence.
Police recovered five foreign-made pistols from the accused. The identities and criminal backgrounds of those killed and injured are expected to be disclosed after verification.
