CNG Price Hiked Again In Delhi-NCR
CNG prices were increased by ₹2 per kg in Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, marking the fourth hike in less than two weeks. The latest revision has raised costs for commuters, auto-rickshaw drivers, taxi operators and other transport users who depend heavily on compressed natural gas.
Delhi CNG Price Rises To ₹83.09 Per Kg
After the latest hike, CNG now costs ₹83.09 per kg in Delhi. The revised rate came into effect from Tuesday morning and follows a series of increases announced over the past two weeks.
The latest increase comes after an earlier Re 1 per kg hike on Saturday. Together, the repeated revisions show growing pressure on city gas distribution companies due to higher input costs and global energy market volatility.
Fourth CNG Hike In Less Than Two Weeks
This is the fourth increase in CNG prices in less than two weeks. The repeated hikes have affected daily commuters and transport workers at a time when petrol and diesel prices have also been revised upward.
Auto-rickshaw and cab operators are likely to face higher running costs, which may increase pressure for fare revisions if prices continue to rise.
Global Energy Pressure Hits Consumers
The CNG price rise comes amid wider fuel market pressure linked to geopolitical tensions, higher global gas prices and supply concerns.
India remains dependent on imported energy, making domestic fuel prices vulnerable to international market movements. The latest hike signals that consumers may continue to face higher mobility costs if global energy prices remain unstable.
