CJP Backs MPSC Aspirants Over Alleged Paper Leaks
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced support for Maharashtra Public Service Commission aspirants protesting alleged paper leaks and examination irregularities, demanding the resignation of the commission’s chairman and secretary.
CJP Joins MPSC Aspirants’ Protest
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced the decision after meeting a group of MPSC aspirants at his residence in the Waluj area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Dipke said the party would stand with students until accountability was fixed over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations.
The protesters are demanding the resignation of MPSC Chairman Vivek Bhimanwar and Secretary Mahindra Harpalkar, arguing that confidence in the recruitment process has been damaged.
September 24 Deadline Set for MPSC Officials
CJP has set September 24 as the deadline for the two senior officials to step down.
If the demand is not met, Dipke and other party members plan to undertake a statewide tour to meet competitive examination aspirants and expand the agitation.
Protests have already been held in several parts of Maharashtra, including Pune and Nagpur, with students demanding greater transparency and independent scrutiny of examinations.
Paper Leak Allegations Fuel Maharashtra Protests
The agitation intensified following controversy surrounding the MPSC Drug Inspector recruitment examination.
The recruitment process was cancelled after allegations that the question paper had been leaked before the examination. A preliminary police inquiry also reportedly found evidence indicating that the paper had been compromised.
Aspirants have demanded forensic audits of recruitment examinations, investigation of suspected irregularities and stronger safeguards to restore confidence in the selection system.
The growing protests have also attracted support from several political leaders and organisations across Maharashtra.
