Apple To Invest Rs 100 Crore In India

Apple has announced an initial investment of Rs 100 crore to expand renewable energy capacity in India, strengthening its clean energy push across operations and supply chains.

Apple Renewable Energy Investment In India

Apple will invest Rs 100 crore to support the development of more than 150 MW of new renewable energy capacity in India. The company is working with renewable energy developer CleanMax for the project.

The planned capacity is expected to generate enough clean power to meet the annual electricity needs of around 1.5 lakh Indian households. The move expands Apple’s renewable energy footprint in one of its fastest-growing markets.

CleanMax Partnership For Green Energy

The partnership with CleanMax will support Apple’s wider sustainability goals by helping suppliers and operations in India transition towards cleaner energy sources.

Apple has been working to cut emissions across its global supply chain and product lifecycle. The India investment is part of that broader effort as the company moves towards its 2030 carbon neutrality target.

Apple Focuses On Sustainability In India

Apart from renewable energy, Apple’s India sustainability push also includes reducing plastic pollution, supporting recycling and encouraging green entrepreneurship.

The investment comes as India’s renewable energy sector continues to attract major corporate interest. For Apple, the move is also significant because India has become increasingly important for manufacturing, supply chain expansion and long-term market growth.
