In a post on X, Adani congratulated Skyroot Aerospace co-founders Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka, the company’s engineering team and the personnel from ISRO and IN-SPACe who supported the mission.
Adani said history had been made as India’s private space industry entered a new era. He highlighted that Vikram-1 achieved all its stated mission objectives during its first orbital flight.
The industrialist described the successful launch as proof of what the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative represents, emphasising the growing ability of Indian companies to develop advanced technologies domestically.

Adani’s message recognised the wider collaboration behind the mission, including the technical and institutional support provided by India’s established space agencies.
Skyroot Aerospace launched Vikram-1 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on July 18. The mission, named Aagaman, placed multiple customer payloads and technology experiments into low-Earth orbit.
The successful flight made Skyroot the first private Indian company to develop and launch an orbital-class rocket from the country.
Vikram-1 Marks Historic Indian Milestone
Founded by former ISRO scientists in 2018, Hyderabad-based Skyroot previously launched the suborbital Vikram-S rocket in November 2022. Vikram-1 represents the company’s first attempt to place payloads into orbit.
The rocket’s success is expected to strengthen India’s commercial launch capabilities and expand opportunities for private participation in the space industry. Adani said the achievement marked the beginning of a new chapter for the country’s private space sector and demonstrated India’s growing technological capabilities.
