Vistara Frankfurt-Mumbai Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Bomb Threat

A Vistara flight bound for Mumbai made an emergency landing early Thursday morning after a bomb threat was reported.

The Boeing 787 aircraft, carrying 147 passengers, safely touched down at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 7:45 am following the alarming security alert.

Bomb Threat Triggers Emergency Protocol

The bomb scare, reportedly received via social media, led to swift action by authorities. Upon its arrival from Frankfurt, the aircraft was directed to an isolation bay, where all passengers safely disembarked. Security teams immediately conducted thorough checks of the plane.

This marks the 19th bomb threat involving Indian flights in just three days, following similar threats targeting Air India, Akasa, and Indigo flights. The Vistara spokesperson confirmed that the airline followed established security protocols and was fully cooperating with security agencies to complete mandatory safety inspections.

Series of Bomb Threats Target Indian Flights

The Vistara bomb threat is the latest in a string of similar incidents plaguing Indian carriers, both on domestic and international routes. On October 14, an Air India flight bound for London was forced to make an emergency landing following a bomb threat. Hours before, Indigo flights heading to Muscat and Jeddah from Mumbai also received threats, causing delays and security sweeps.

Despite these repeated threats, all affected flights have landed safely, with passengers unharmed. Indian authorities are continuing to investigate the spate of bomb threats to ensure passenger safety across the country’s aviation network.
