The Ministry of External Affairs announced that Doraiswami, a 1992-batch Indian Foreign Service officer and currently India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, has been named the next Ambassador of India to the People’s Republic of China. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly and will succeed Pradeep Kumar Rawat in Beijing.
