US Warns Iran Over Talks Standoff

The White House has warned Iran of a major escalation, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt saying President Donald Trump is prepared to “unleash hell” if Tehran refuses to move toward a deal. The warning came as the US continued military operations and pressed Iran to respond to a ceasefire proposal, while Tehran maintained that it was not ready for talks on Washington’s terms.

US Warns Iran Of Further Escalation

Leavitt said Trump would intensify military action if Iran does not accept what Washington sees as the reality of its battlefield losses. The White House message was aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran at a time when the war has entered a deeper and more dangerous phase. Trump has also publicly urged Iran to act quickly, warning that delay could close off diplomatic options.

Iran Insists It Is Not Ready For Talks

Iran, however, has continued to signal resistance rather than compromise. Officials in Tehran said they are reviewing proposals passed through intermediaries, but have denied entering direct negotiations and insisted that any talks would depend on their own conditions being met. That has kept a clear gap between US claims of progress and Iran’s public refusal to appear pressured into a deal.

Ceasefire Push Faces Uncertain Outcome

Diplomatic efforts involving intermediaries such as Pakistan, Egypt and others are still active, but there is no confirmed breakthrough yet. The competing statements from Washington and Tehran suggest that while backchannel communication exists, the path to an actual ceasefire remains uncertain. For now, the US is combining military pressure with negotiation signals, while Iran is trying to avoid appearing to concede under fire.
