US Envoy Sergio Gor Concludes Mumbai Visit
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor has wrapped up his visit to Mumbai after a series of high-level meetings aimed at strengthening India-US ties across economic, financial and strategic sectors.
Meetings With Political and Business Leaders
During his visit, Gor met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to discuss cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, manufacturing and technology. He also held discussions with senior business leaders, including Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, focusing on expanding private-sector collaboration and investment opportunities.
Engagement With Financial Leadership
The US envoy also met Reserve Bank of India Governor Sanjay Malhotra, where discussions centred on financial stability, regulatory cooperation and the role of technology in strengthening financial systems. Officials described the interactions as constructive and forward-looking.
Focus on Bilateral Partnership
Gor said the meetings reflected the growing depth of the India-US partnership, particularly in trade, technology, energy and supply chains. The visit forms part of broader diplomatic engagement to enhance cooperation between the two countries at both government and industry levels.
The ambassador is expected to continue similar outreach in other Indian cities as part of efforts to deepen bilateral relations.
