Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invited Japanese entrepreneurs and companies to invest in the state during an investment roadshow held in Tokyo. The outreach was aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and attracting foreign direct investment into key industrial and infrastructure projects in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing business leaders in Tokyo, Yogi Adityanath highlighted Uttar Pradesh as a major investment destination, citing its large population, expanding infrastructure and improving ease of doing business. He emphasised the state government’s focus on policy reforms, single-window clearance systems and investor-friendly incentives. The chief minister also showcased the proposed Japan Industrial City near the upcoming Noida International Airport as a dedicated hub designed to support Japanese enterprises with advanced connectivity and logistics facilities.
Key Sectors For Japanese Entrepreneurs In UP
The presentation outlined opportunities across sectors including data centres, semiconductors, renewable energy, food processing, tourism and medical devices manufacturing. Yogi Adityanath pointed to the Medical Device Park being developed in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority region as a significant opportunity for Japanese firms seeking high-value manufacturing bases. He also stressed the state’s expanding logistics network, expressways and industrial corridors as key enablers for global supply chain integration.
Strengthening India Japan Economic Cooperation
The visit included meetings with representatives of major Japanese corporations to explore collaboration in technology, infrastructure and manufacturing. Discussions focused on long-term industrial partnerships and enhanced bilateral engagement. The outreach is part of Uttar Pradesh’s broader strategy to boost foreign investment, expand export capacity and accelerate economic growth through international partnerships.
