Ukraine Withdraws from Kursk, Abandons Western Tanks Amid Russian Offensive
Ukrainian forces have recently executed a strategic withdrawal from the Kursk region in Russia, marking the end of a seven-month incursion that began in August 2024. This operation, initially aimed at diverting Russian military resources from critical fronts within Ukraine, has concluded under challenging circumstances, reflecting both tactical achievements and significant hardships for the Ukrainian military.
The incursion into Kursk Oblast represented a bold maneuver by Ukraine, marking the first occupation of Russian territory by a foreign military since World War II.
