Udhayanidhi Stalin Declares DMK Unfazed by ED and PM Modi
In a defiant speech delivered at a political rally in Tamil Nadu, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin asserted that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has no fear of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His comments came amidst rising political temperatures ahead of the elections, with several opposition leaders facing investigation by central agencies.
DMK Unbothered by ED Investigations
Udhayanidhi made it clear that his party would not bow to what he described as “intimidation tactics” by the central government. “We fear neither ED nor PM Modi,” he declared to a cheering crowd, asserting that the DMK has faced many political storms before and will continue to stand firm against authoritarian overreach.
He accused the BJP-led Centre of misusing federal institutions to target opposition parties, particularly those who refused to align politically with the ruling coalition. Udhayanidhi also reiterated that the DMK would continue to oppose what he called the BJP’s “anti-federal and anti-democratic” stance.
Upholding Social Justice and Regional Identity
Continuing his attack, Udhayanidhi stressed that the DMK remains committed to its core values of social justice, equality, and Tamil pride. He reminded party cadres and supporters that the party’s foundation rests on the fight for regional rights and inclusive governance.
He emphasized that the DMK’s work toward upliftment of marginalized communities and backward classes will not be slowed down by threats or political vendettas. “Our goal is to serve the people, not to please Delhi,” he said, drawing loud applause from the audience.
Call for Unity and Resistance
Udhayanidhi concluded by rallying DMK workers to remain alert and united, cautioning them about potential attempts to destabilize the party’s grassroots network. He urged supporters to stay focused on development goals and resist any pressure tactics with strength and discipline.
The rally, viewed as both a show of strength and a statement of political intent, underscores the sharpening battle lines between the Centre and the Tamil Nadu government, with Udhayanidhi emerging as a vocal challenger on the national stage.
