U.S. Monitors India–Pakistan Tensions Daily, Calls for Lasting Peace
The United States has said it is closely tracking developments between India and Pakistan on a daily basis, amid ongoing concerns about regional security. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that Washington continues to remain vigilant, given the history of conflicts and the fragile peace between the two nuclear-armed nations. According to Rubio, the situation requires consistent attention because even small escalations can have major consequences for South Asia and beyond.
Need for More Than Temporary Ceasefires
While occasional ceasefires have brought temporary relief, Rubio made it clear that they are not enough to ensure long-term peace.
