Trump Warns Iran Over Hormuz Ship Attacks

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a sharp warning to Iran, saying Tehran would face a severe military response if it attacks American vessels escorting stranded ships through the Strait of Hormuz. The warning came after Washington launched Project Freedom to help commercial vessels move through the strategic waterway.

Trump Warns Iran Over U.S. Vessels

Trump said Iran would be “blown off the face of the Earth” if it targeted U.S. vessels involved in the escort operation. The statement marks one of his strongest warnings to Tehran since tensions escalated around the Strait of Hormuz.

Project Freedom Launched In Hormuz

The U.S. operation, called Project Freedom, has been launched to escort ships stuck near the Strait of Hormuz. The route is one of the world’s most important energy corridors, carrying a major share of global oil and LNG shipments.

Tehran Responds To U.S. Warning

Iran has rejected U.S. military movement near the waterway and warned that foreign interference could further destabilise the region. Tehran has accused Washington of escalating tensions under the cover of protecting commercial shipping.

Strait Of Hormuz Tensions Rise

The Strait of Hormuz remains a major flashpoint as military warnings, stranded ships and fears of wider conflict continue to build. Any disruption in the route can affect global energy prices, shipping insurance costs and supply chains across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
