Trump Warns Iran Must Not Get Nukes

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that Iran could destabilise the entire Middle East if it acquires nuclear weapons, linking the issue directly to Washington’s current military and diplomatic posture toward Tehran. His remarks came as the conflict involving Iran continued to widen, with growing concern over regional security, energy flows and the risk of further escalation.

Trump Warning On Iran Nuclear Weapons

Trump said Iran must not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons, arguing that such a development would pose a grave threat to the wider region. His comments reinforced the administration’s long-standing position that Tehran’s nuclear ambitions are central to the current crisis. The statement also signalled that Washington continues to frame the conflict not only as a military confrontation, but as part of a broader effort to prevent a nuclear-armed Iran.

Trump Defends US Action Against Iran

The remarks came after the United States carried out strikes on Iranian targets, including military installations on Kharg Island. Trump said the U.S. had deliberately avoided destroying oil infrastructure at that stage, while warning that any threat to free passage through the Strait of Hormuz could trigger a tougher response. His comments presented recent American action as both a military warning and a strategic message aimed at limiting Iran’s regional leverage.

Middle East Tensions And Hormuz Risks Grow

Trump’s warning also comes amid a wider regional crisis in which Gulf states are pressing Washington to reduce Iran’s military threat more decisively. At the same time, renewed Iranian attacks on U.S. allies in the Gulf and continuing disruption around the Strait of Hormuz have deepened fears over oil supplies, maritime security and the risk of a broader war. The nuclear issue is therefore unfolding alongside a much larger geopolitical and economic confrontation.
