Trump May Order U.S. Strike On Iran Within Two Weeks – Reports
President Donald Trump is weighing the option of ordering a direct military strike on Iran within the next two weeks, amid rapidly escalating tensions in the Middle East. The announcement comes in the aftermath of Iran’s aggressive missile campaign targeting Israeli cities, raising alarm across global diplomatic circles.
According to the White House, Trump is closely monitoring developments and intends to make a final decision within a 14-day window. The President’s Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, confirmed that while military options are on the table, Trump is also allowing space for potential diplomatic engagement. She emphasized that the President is committed to “carefully evaluating all scenarios” before taking action.
U.S. Strike
Among the military options being considered is a surgical strike on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, a fortified underground uranium enrichment site suspected of playing a central role in Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Reports suggest that the plan under review would involve precision-guided bunker-buster munitions designed to neutralize the facility without triggering full-scale war in the region.
Military assets in the region have already been placed on alert, and contingency plans are in place for rapid deployment should the decision be made to proceed with a strike.
Iran Tensions
This development follows a major escalation between Iran and Israel. After Israeli airstrikes on strategic Iranian installations, Tehran responded with over 20 missiles, some targeting civilian areas such as hospitals. The missile barrage resulted in hundreds of injuries in Israel. In turn, Israeli retaliation has reportedly caused heavy Iranian casualties, heightening the threat of regional destabilization.
