Trump Declared in “Exceptional Health”
A medical evaluation at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center found U.S. President Donald Trump in “exceptional health,” according to a memo released by the White House.
Health Report Details
Dr. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s physician, noted strong performance in cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological, and physical metrics. The memo said Trump’s “cardiac age” is about 14 years younger than his actual age of 79.
Preventive Care and Vaccines
The report added that Trump received preventive screenings and updated immunizations, including his annual flu shot and a COVID-19 booster, ahead of planned international travel.
Context and Prior Conditions
The evaluation came roughly six months after an extensive check-up in April. Earlier in 2025, the White House disclosed that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, a circulatory condition that can cause leg swelling—something previously visible in photos showing swollen ankles.
While the health memo asserts excellent vitality, critics say that such statements should be matched with transparency about all test results and conditions. The public and media continue to scrutinize the health of older leaders, especially when visible signs like bruising or limb swelling appear.
