
Truck Hits Tractor-Trolley, 8 Dead in Bulandshahr Crash
A speeding truck rammed into a tractor-trolley carrying pilgrims near the Bulandshahr–Aligarh border at about 2:10 am. The impact caused the tractor-trolley to overturn, leading to a major accident.
Pilgrims on Religious Journey
The tractor-trolley was transporting around 61 pilgrims from Rafatpur village in Kasganj district to the Jaharpeer shrine in Rajasthan. The rear collision by the truck overturned the vehicle and left many passengers trapped under it.
Deaths and Injuries Reported
Eight people, including two children, died in the crash. At least 43 others sustained injuries, with three critically hurt and placed on ventilator support. Officials said that among the injured, 12 were minors. Ten passengers escaped with only minor injuries.
Relief and Medical Aid
Rescue teams rushed the injured to Aligarh Medical College, Bulandshahr District Hospital, and Kailash Hospital in Khurja. District Magistrate Shruti and SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh visited the site despite heavy drizzle and later checked on patients at the hospitals to ensure proper treatment.
Investigation Underway
Police confirmed the truck was registered in Haryana. The vehicle has been seized, and legal action has been initiated. Post-mortem examinations of the deceased are being carried out as part of the investigation into the crash.
